Join us for a guided tour of your Kootenay Co-op and to get a taste for what your community-owned grocery store is all about. Learn about the Co-op difference, our buying practices, True Local program, house-made products and get a chance to sample some amazing products from around the store. This tour is available to members + non-members!

We meet every month on the 2nd Tuesday from 5:30pm-7pm at Torchlight Brewing, Nelson.
You’ll have a chance to do some networking, so bring those business cards! We’ll do a lightning round of elevator pitches and skill share (aka swap/trade skills) with other entrepreneurs.

Meat & Prize Draws
Every Friday afternoon, the Nelson Royal Canadian Legion (402 Victoria Street – Stanley Street Entrance) holds meat & prize draws from 3 to 5 pm. There is also often a 50/50 draw. All proceeds to local charities. Please come out and join us in a great community cause.

Guided Cold War Bunker tours
During the height of the Cold War, in the 1950s and 1960s, nearly 50 bunkers were constructed across Canada. In 2017, the Nelson Museum began work on restoring the space and opening it to the public. You can join a tour of one of the Museumʼs best-loved spaces!
Learn to Make an Axe Block
In this 3 hour workshop I will teach you to make your own axe block that is the perfect working height for you. The axe block is the mini work bench of the carving world. A simple but very functional piece of portable equipment that is necessary for an enjoyable carving experience.
