Tennis & Pickleball
Break out your rackets or paddles, find some clay, and enjoy a few rounds across the net amongst the splendour of Kootenay Lake and the Selkirk and Purcell Mountains! There's a variety of great places to play net sports in the Nelson & Kootenay Lake region.
Boasting the largest concentration of courts in the region, it's easy to get out and enjoy some tennis here. There's the massive LVR Multisport Complex in Rosemont, also home to the Nelson Tennis Club, as well as courts at Lakeside Park just down the hill.
Balfour has recently developed their recreational fields just off of Highway 3A. Turn south onto Busk Road then make a left onto Charles St. There's pickleball and tennis courts just waiting for you to play!
Kaslo's tennis court is located next to the recreation complex on Arena Road. Non-tennis club members can get a key to the courts by stopping by at the office of the Kaslo Motel on D Avenue in lower Kaslo.
Crawford Bay Community Park is located right in the heart of town; surrounded by its artisans and natural beauty. It's got public access courts that are great for a quick game after some golf or shopping.
