Hide and Seek
Come play with the "Koots"!
An installation along the Kaslo River Trail was recently installed on September 2020. This whimsical installation took over 550 hours to design and build and is the latest by Spring Shine, Christopher Peterson and Yvonne Boyd of the Koots Artist Collective. See if you can find all the 'Koots' while they play Hide and Seek!
Eight large reinforced concrete sculptures of playful "Koots" are creations of the artists' imaginations, who also created Harvest. Found along the Kaslo River Trail, the reinforced concrete sculptures are part of the collective's latest outdoor installation project in the Kootenays, called Hide and Seek. See if you can find them all!
You can read more about Hide and Seek in this CBC article. The Hide and Seek game is located on the South side of the Kaslo River near the Trailblazer Bridge. The closest place to park is at the pullout on Highway 31A near the Trailblazer Bridge. Trailforks map.
