FINDING AWESOME
There's no shortage of things to do in our region, but supporting local has a special place in our hearts. You can find everything you could need on our streetS, from retail stores, to boutique shops and of course bustling markets and more.
SHOP LOCAL
Our region is lucky to have a thriving artisan scene, bursting with creativity and open studios for you to visit. Find that extra special memento of your trip, a git or something for yourself - you're sure to find something truly unique.
You can find everything from handmade ceramics, fine jewelry to sustainably made clothes, and even brooms (as seen in the Harry Potter films!) Stop by Craft Connection in Nelson for an ever revolving showcase of the great artists of our area.
ARTISANS AT WORK
We are lucky to have three of our local artisans featured in the globally recognized ÉCONOMUSÉE Artisans at Work program. You can visit the Nelson studios of Lillie and Cohoe, a 30 year old hat making studio, Earth Community Studios and the iconic Kootenay Bakery Cafe Cooperative.
