Family Story Time
Drop by the Nelson Public Library Thursday mornings at 10:30 come to sing your favourite songs and hear some great stories!

Meat & Prize Draws
Every Friday afternoon, the Nelson Royal Canadian Legion (402 Victoria Street – Stanley Street Entrance) holds meat & prize draws from 3 to 5 pm. There is also often a 50/50 draw. All proceeds to local charities. Please come out and join us in a great community cause.
Guided Cold War Bunker tours
During the height of the Cold War, in the 1950s and 1960s, nearly 50 bunkers were constructed across Canada. In 2017, the Nelson Museum began work on restoring the space and opening it to the public. You can join a tour of one of the Museumʼs best-loved spaces!

Join the Friends of the Nelson Public Library
The Friends of the Library are dedicated to helping the Nelson Public Library through successful booksales and other creative fundraising efforts live trivia nights, with the funds going to new books, necessary technologies, furnishings and program supplies.
Crafternoon
Drop in between 3:30 and 4:30 every Tuesday for CRAFTERNOON at the Nelson Public Library.
Crafts, LEGO, Ozobots, DatoDuo, STEAM stations & more! Every week is a bit different.
Activities will be geared towards school aged children aged 5-13.

We meet every month on the 2nd Tuesday from 5:30pm-7pm at Torchlight Brewing, Nelson.

Penny Shades
Penny Shades is a four-piece alt-soul group from Nelson BC that makes music featuring three-part harmonies, dynamic lead vocals, and modern grooves with psychedelic flair. The band launched with their debut FACTOR-funded EP during the pandemic and have already found themselves sharing major stages, including Nelson’s International Mural Festival and the Kaslo Jazz Etc. Festival.
