429 Front Street, Kaslo, BC

When David Kane, a city founder, became the Postmaster, he moved the post office to this building. His insurance business and The 1500 Club was also located here. This was an insurance scheme against burial costs. The fees were one dollar. At one time this building also housed the stock exchange.
