Experience the New Kaslo River Trail Tour

An Egg-cellent Easter

If you’re looking for something unique to do this Easter, then look no further than then our self-guided Kaslo River Trail Tour. This unique tour is the perfect way to explore and spend time outdoors with the family. There will even be an exciting Easter Egg Hunt happening on the trail... keep reading for more details.

Music, Meditations, Fun Facts & More

Come along on a journey along the Kaslo River Trail that flows beside the lively Kaslo River with mossy banks, bright bridges and hidden sculptures, all unveiled to capture your curiosity. As you walk, you’ll learn fun facts about the trail and Kaslo’s history from local character Dan, president of the Kaslo Outdoor Recreation & Trails Society. This unique experience will also take you on a forest bathing journey along the trail. Let Kaslo singer-songwriter-harper and spoken word artist Diemm, mesmerize you with poetic meditations and music to enhance the experience.

While listening, take time to breathe and rediscover your senses and appreciation for this magical destination. Just open the Kootenay Lake Road Trip App, and remember to download the tour before you start (there’s minimal cell service at the trail so you don’t want to miss this crucial step)! This unique tour can be enjoyed all-year-round.

Play Hide & Seek

While you’re hunting along the path, you’ll also find the playful “Koots” sculptures hidden in mossy banks, behind boulders and in the trees. Created by the Koots Artist Collective in 2020, these fun concrete sculptures are playing Hide and Seek - see if you can find all eight!

What Should I Do Next?

There’s plenty to see and explore in the the quaint village of Kaslo, and many places to stay overnight such as the Kaslo Hotel & Pub. A few of our favourite family friendly lunch spots include The Treehouse Restaurant and Bluebelle Bistro & Beanery. If that chocolate egg wasn’t enough of a sweet treat, stop by The Parlour for an ice-cream or Teresa’s for a slice of her famous pie. If a refreshing beverage is what you're after, the Angry Hen brews incredible beer and has a great food menu too. If you’re looking for something fast, try the Kaslo institution Chez Serge - which serves some of the best poutine in the region. Or, are you after a tasty dinner spot? Buddy’s Front Street Pizza will leave you feeling satisfied.
