Nelson/Hybrid Shoreline Homeowner Workshop
Join Friends of Kootenay Lake Stewardship Society (FoKLSS) from 4:00pm to 5:45pm on September 27th at the Nelson United Church or on online video for a free, interactive Shoreline Homeowner Workshop and discover simple actions that can improve lake health while protecting your shoreline and even your property value. Hosted in partnership with the Kootenay Lake Partnership and developed with guidance from Yaqan Nukiy, these workshops will cover practical topics like maintaining natural shorelines, reducing erosion, supporting native plants, improving water quality, and managing invasive species. You’ll also have the chance to connect with others who care about the future of Kootenay Lake and leave with easy, actionable tips you can use right away. Whether you’ve lived on the lake for years or simply care about its future, everyone is welcome. Plus, there will be delicious free refreshments!
