Outline of the day:
Register early Saturday at the Kaslo Legion.
The morning features expert-led forays for ticket-holders into the local woods, where you’ll learn about habitat, safe harvesting and spotting edibles versus less friendly mushies.
Return to home base at the Kaslo Legion for lunch at one of the food vendors or explore Kaslo’s restaurants offering mushroom specials.
Onsite, shop the mushroom-themed market and take in some music and short talks.
Afternoon workshops for ticket-holders include both pre-registered and general offerings. Larger talks don’t require pre-registration, just your general admission ticket.
A couple of smaller workshops require pre-registration to avoid crowding, and involve an additional small fee to help cover the costs of materials or samples. Ensure you sign up separately in advance for those using the selections below. Workshops needing pre-registration are noted.
We’ve left time at the end of the day as well to hit the market or grab an early dinner with a vendor.
