Anything Goes! Collage with Michelle Oakley
Avante garde? Political? Whimsical? Anything goes in this collage workshop with artist Michelle Oakley, inspired by Judy Wapp’s exhibition VisuAlchemy and hosted by the Nelson Museum.
These workshops are FREE and all materials are supplied. You can attend one or both workshops, but separate pre-registration is required. Please use the links below.
Meat & Prize Draws
Every Friday afternoon, the Nelson Royal Canadian Legion (402 Victoria Street – Stanley Street Entrance) holds meat & prize draws from 3 to 5 pm. There is also often a 50/50 draw. All proceeds to local charities. Please come out and join us in a great community cause.

Guided Cold War Bunker tours
During the height of the Cold War, in the 1950s and 1960s, nearly 50 bunkers were constructed across Canada. In 2017, the Nelson Museum began work on restoring the space and opening it to the public. You can join a tour of one of the Museumʼs best-loved spaces!
Keepsake Collage with Melissa Owen
Creator Melissa Owen will guide you through the creation of a keepsake collage to honour a lost friend, family member, or beloved pet. This Nelson Museum program is FREE – collage materials are provided, participants need to bring a photo of their loved one to be photocopied and used in their project.
