About Us

Nelson Kootenay Lake Tourism (NKLT) is a Destination Marketing Organization incorporated under the BC Societies Act. We are a not-for-profit, self-sustaining marketing organization, representing the interests of the tourism-related industry sector.  Our Mission is to market the Nelson Kootenay Lake destination on behalf and in cooperation with our stakeholders, Kootenay Rockies Tourism and Tourism British Columbia.

Our footprint covers the area from Nelson (including Whitewater Ski Resort), Balfour/Proctor/Harrop, Ainsworth Hot Springs, Kaslo, Meadow Creek and the Lardeau Valley.

Becoming a Member of our Organization

As a member, you will become a partner in an Organization who’s key focus is to represent your interests in promoting this region as a four seasons visitor destination. We have two categories of memberships: Full membership for those organizations involved directly in Tourism, and Associate membership for organizations that wish to have a presence in the tourism arena.
