The Gathering was made in 1980, commissioned by Morris Kowall and Associates for the Chahko Mika Mall when it was built. It is my first monumental piece. Chahko Mika is a Native expression meaning 'You come, everybody come', so I made a sculpture of a group of people gathered together.
