Anderson Street Mural

Anderson Street Mural

402 Anderson Street, Nelson, BC

Created by LX Forde in 1986

This mural was originally created to draw attention to the Nelson Museum, which opened in 1974. The artist, LX Forde, used photos from the Nelson Museum collection as references from which to create his images. The museum and much of its contents moved, in 2006, to its new home at The Nelson Museum, Archives & Galleries, previously called Touchstones Nelson: Museum of Art & History. However, this building is still used to store items from the Touchstones collection.
