Harvest Festival Balfour Golf Greens
"The natural terrain at Whitewater Ski Resort coupled with an annual snowfall of about 45 ft, make for some of the best powder runs in North America"
The Tampa Tribune

Balfour + Area

A community as serene as can be, cradled by the towering Selkirk and Purcell ranges, tee boxes, fishing docks and cottage beachfronts.

Balfour is located in the heart of the Nelson Kootenay Lake region, and port for the 250-passenger M.V. Osprey 2000 (view schedule), which provides the longest free ferry ride in the world.

Here on the narrows of Kootenay Lake and its beautiful West Arm there’s great fishing for our very our own landlocked salmon — the Kokanee — plus boating, beach time and golf.

In fact, the Balfour Golf Course is one of the most scenic and little-known 18-hole tracks in Western Canada, designed by the legendary Les Furber.
