Powder Magazine's Ski Town Throwdown!!10/31/2012
Whitewater Ski Resort and Red Mountain Resort are joining forces in a contest, a challenge, an all-out battle, (comparable to NCAA Basketball's March Madness format) in the hopes of unearthing THE TOP ski area in North America. In this 32-team event, Nelson and Rossland ski areas are up against Sugarloaf. Sugarloaf is a resort situated in the midst of the Carrabassett Valley, four hours drive from either Boston or Montreal. When we strike down Sugarloaf from the competition and move on to the next fight, Nelson/Rossland will either be up against Whistler or Whitefish, in Montana (November 28-29).
