Kaslo May Days is happening May 18-20 in Kaslo, BC.
Kaslo Visitor Centre and the S. S. Moyie will open for the season on Mother’s Day Sunday May 12, 2013. Hours of operation for the season will be 10:00 – 6:00. There will be free admission onto the S.S. Moyie on opening day only. Refreshments and baked goods will also be served.

Celebrate Mother's Day weekend at the eleventh annual Nelson Garden Festival, a showcase for gardening vendors in the region. Annuals, perennials, early vegetable starts, trees, shrubs, furniture and all kinds of accessories will line the 200 block of Baker Street from 10:00am-3:00 pm.

The line between genres becomes even more indistinguishable recently with contemporary composers Adam Guettel (grandson of Richard Rodgers) and Ricky Ian Gordon (called “one of the leading younger composers of songs” by The New York Times).
Whitewater is excited to host the fourth annual Whitewater Winter Carnival weekend! With tons of family activities throughout the weeekend. Saturday there will be marshmallow roasting and snow sculpting competitions, Gericks Summit Cup, followed by the Snow Ball Apres Party, this is a celebration of winter that you do not want to miss!

Annual Kootenay Lake Polar Bear Dip01/01/2013
Plunge into 2013 with the annual Polar Bear Dip! Hot Chili will be served by donation beginning at 11:30 am, followed by the dip in Kootenay Lake at 12 noon.
The Spiribar is going to welcome in 2013 by partying in both rooms with a rotation between DJ Hoola Hoop, Soup and Lorne B of Home Breakin' Records. The Spiritbar will be staying open till 3am - tickets are on sale at the front desk for $20 each.
